Banner Making at Alric and Laraque's

Using the cut banners donated by Margaret and additional canvas the banners were sewn and gessoed to prep the cloth for painting. Didn't get photos this time but there was lots of fun and a fair amount of gesso everywhere. Painting of the banners was scheduled for another night on January 28th.

Paper Maché Animals for Viking Games at Alric and Laraque's

For our upcoming Baron's Champion we are creating paper maché animals to do viking things upon. If you are wondering what that is you have to be there.

People showed up, Nia brought a lot of newspaper, Alric made goo, gentles ripped alot of newspaper, other gentles blew up balloons and most everyone sat around the dining room table and applied gooey newspaper strips to balloons.

All in all a very productive night.

Update: The proto animals took about 3 days to dry and we lost one. Alric attempted a repair. It will need a cast. We continued working on the Paper Maché Animals at a Project/Social Night

Herbalism and Relevant Humors and...  Paper Maché Piggies

Alric taught a class on mediaeval herbs and their relevant humors. Additional work was done on the paper maché piggies. There was even a discussion on the humors of pigs.
